Bruce Meyer is the author of forty--six books of poetry, short fiction, literary journalism, and textbooks. His most recent works include the short story collection A Chronicle of Magpies, the poetry collections Testing the Elements, The Arrow of Time, and The Seasons (a book of one hundred love sonnets in the tradition of Pable Neruda that garnered Meyer the silver IP Medal from the Independent Publishers' Association of America and runner--up status for the Indie Fab Foreword Prize for the best book of poems published in North America in 2014). With Black Moss Press he has recently published Dog Days: A Comedy of Terriers (poetry), Time of the Last Goal: Why Hockey Is Our Game (poetry, fiction, and non--fiction), the novel in poetry The Obsession Book of Timbuktu. He lives in Barrie, Ontario where he was the inaugural Poet Laureate for the City. He is professor of Creative Writing and Communications at Georgian College, and Visiting Professor of Comparative Literature at Victoria College in the University of Toronto.
