Carlo McCormick is a curator and critic based in New York City. He is Senior Editor of Paper magazine and has written about art for 35 years, authoring over a hundred books and curating award-winning exhibitions in numerous museums. McCormick has long been an outspoken advocate for graffiti and Street Art in both the art world and popular culture and his extensive writings on the subject include the books Trespass (2010), Art in the Streets (2011), and City as Canvas (2013). Don Karl (AKA Stone) is a cultural activist, graffiti writer, author, and publisher. He has written graffiti since 1983 and published his first book on the topic in 1986. Many books and articles have followed. He co-wrote the books Arabic Graffiti and Walls of Freedom and has curated numerous international Urban Art projects. Since the beginning of the Arab uprisings, Stone has worked closely with Egyptian street artists in a series of events and exhibitions.
