There is no magical tradition of aromatherapy in folklore or paganism. Many of the uses prescribed to each scent are purely the invention of Cunningham and have no tradition behind these associations. The reviewer recommends that if the reader insists upon using this book as it was intended, that the associations of each scent are cross-referenced with a reliable (often non-pagan) source. Cunningham is often criticised in the pagan community, and this criticism is based upon works such as this text.
An excellent book showcasing other uses for essential oils than just the norm, a must for anyone who loves Scott Cunninghams practical easy to follow guides.
This book was very helpful. Writting inside could have been a little bigger. It has a great rage of herbs to look at and what they are used for. The Book has a great contents which is broken up into differnt parts Scents, The Aroms and Tables and with a easy to understand glossary. Scott also tells you how to store the oils and herbs. This book is as good as the other tittles he has written like Living Wicca, The Magic in Food, The truth about witchcraft today and many more tittles. I would buy this book it you found his other books helpful like i did
