a good book. I am doing a patternmaking course and some of the "lingo" is a bit confusing. This book takes the reader from beginning through to finished. You start with your own measurements, draw up a pattern block step-by-step, fit the pattern block to your self, make any neccesary changes, then sew a trial item( in cheap fabric). Then any unseen changes are found and fixed BEFORE you items is sewn up. The book includes quarter scale patterns that can be enlarged or use your own measurement.
A perfect book for beginners.

Great Book, This is good for new sewers and experienced sewers wanting to make thier own patterns, Illustrations are great and answers all those questions you have about making your own patterns.
