Lovely book to look at, amazing transformations on people and celebrities. Not for people who have never used make up before, it would take a very skilled hand to apply the make up he has done, however there are sketches to show you how to apply the basics of make up. I am new to the make up world and did not understand some things like Blend. I know what blend is essentially, however how do you actually do it? That was not mentioned along with a few other things I did not understand, maybe when I become better at it! Nice book to have.

This guy (was) the king of extreme-to-classic fantastic makeup - the transformations were amazing, and the step-by-step instructions showed how he achieved it all with detail and creative flair. The compaion book is also worth the money. Aucions' enthusiasm for what he did leaps of every page, and reveals for the creative reader ideas and methods to follow his lead next time you are fresh-faced in front of the mirror. I love the book for how it challenges the limits of how makeup could transform a face.

Kevyn Aucoin will forever be remembered as a makeup god, although passed on now he's makeup line and instructional books still live on. This book covers so many great topics, eyebrows, blush, eyeshadow and liner to name a few. Plus transformations. If you were to buy any makeup book I'd suggest this as it will never date!

If you love makeup you will love this book it is beautifully presented and the makeup is gorgous this man was a genious! I cant believe how different you can make one person look with diffenerent kindas of make up. I also love that he is not set in his ways and says give anything a go

A stunning book offering amazing inspiration and tips from Kevyn Aucoin, an amazing man and artist. Some looks may be difficult for anyone just starting out however, a great book to have in amongst your collection.
