I think this is seriously the best gift with part humor and part useful guidance for the receiver. Both parties will gain satisfaction from this book. The series call themselves as “a reference for the rest of us”, which helps identify with the mass target audience of helpless people. It also provides other source mediums such as their website and further reading that they recommend. Illustrations within are minimal, which is disappointing as it looks like a book that is suppose to appeal to the “rest of us”. Most of us learn far better with images than literary. The creators should keep that in mind, because teaching through a book can be more ineffective than tutoring so it needs more oomph to make info stay in the learner’s mind.
