Mark Wilsons Encyclopedia of Magic is probably one of the best beginners books on magic ever written.
It offers the magician an introduction into the art of magic, all kinds. It deals with Card Magic, Coin Magic (Subcategories on card magic like Giant Card Magic and Genie Card Magic - Not that popular I suppose), Rope Magic, Stunts, Mental Magic, Stage Illusions and much more.
It is very useful, although the pocket format of the book gets kinda annoying at some stage.
