The Mighty Boosh is unlike any show you are ever likely to see, and one that defies description, the closest you could get to the unique style of Julian Barratt and Noel Fielding would be in the early days of Reeves and Mortimer, with their cardboard props and men with sticks. But unlike Reeves and Mortimer, the Boosh zookeepers turned postmen Howard Moon (Juilan) and Vince Noir (Noel), never leave their own world. The Mighty Boosh inhabits a universe entirely of it's own.
This is a great CD for real fans of The Mighty Boosh, Noel Fielding, Julian Barratt, or all of these. I like to put this on in the mornings when I'm getting ready for work rather than listening to the same crap on the radio or the breakfast television shows. It prepares me for the day ahead and puts a real smile on my face. A great addition to any CD collection for Mighty Boosh and comedy fans.
I first caught the second series of The Mighty Boosh on TV earlier in the year, and recently bought both series 1 and 2 on DVD. This release contains the radio series that the TV series were based on. They're very good, though not as polished as the TV series. Some characters and scenes will be familar from the TV series. There are no Mod Wolves, but the song associated with them turns up in a different version. Howard and Vince travel to the Arctic, but to find a leopard, not an egg. Overall these discs are worth investigating for anyone familar with the TV series.
