Written by farmer, Peter Andrews, this down-to-earth book contains the sum of his extensive knowledge of farming in Australia. In particular, he shares his insights on the patterns of water and nutrient distribution and cycling in Australian landscapes, relating his experiences of successfully revitalising salt-damaged, eroded land in the Hunter Valley of NSW. This book, written in pretty plain language, is a must-read for any farmer and grazier looking at preventing or solving salinity problems on their land and an excellent read for anyone looking to bone-up on agriculture in Australia. Recommended read for High School Ag students as well.
