– Customer review on 25/10/2006 The Spalding Method to spelling and reading has benefitted my students significantly. It provides a systemtatic, structured approach to spelling and reading that makes sense to students. It does require students to have reasonable auditory memory as the phonograms (chunks of letters relating to a sound, eg. 'ow') are presented orally with a visual cue. The spelling wordlist is useful as it covers frequently used words. I love the program as it teaches chidlren valuable phonemic awareness skills such as breaking words into syllables, sounds and helpful spelling rules.
Best used with attendance at a Spalding course or WRAP course in Melbourne.
