Although the DSM-IV-TR is not without its many criticisms it is nonetheless essential for any psychological or psychiatric professional to have, for a comprehensive overview of different types of human psychopathology, including criteria and differential diagnoses. The DSM-IV-TR is nicely structured with each disorder categorised. The only thing missing from the DSM-IV-TR is the recommendation of treatment for each disorder.
