A great, great collection, without a dud in the bunch!
Briggs, Patricia Alpha and Omega
The Chicago Pack is in trouble, necessitating a visit from the son of the werewolf king. He’s expecting many things, but not to find Anna, the only woman whose touch he can bear. As for Anna, she finds a new sense of self, and a love beyond anything she had dreamed. Excellent characters, and Briggs’ slightly darker style is even tauter in a shorter story.
Wilks, Eileen Inhuman
This is my favourite story. I couldn’t put it down. Kai has a secret gift of sensing thoughts and desires, but what she senses in her neighbour Nathan could be dangerous. Is it possible he is not quite human? And does it matter when he is the only ‘man’ she wants. The characters are great, but it’s the combination of characterization, plot, and sense of place that makes this novella outstanding.
Chance, Karen Buying Trouble
A Lord of the Fey crosses paths with a fiery red-headed Mage named Claire in a New York auction sale, where Claire is the item for sale. Funny, romantic, dramatic, this novella has a touch of everything.
Sunny Mona Lisa Betwining
Mona Lisa is part-human, part-Monere, and destined to be alone, or so she believes until she meets a man who could be her salvation or her downfall. Typical Sunny fare, so if you like her style, you’ll like this.

"On the Prowl" contains four separate short stories of the supernatural romance genre. I was only familiar with Patricia Briggs when I read this book but found the other authors contributions quite good as well. The "Alpha & Omega" story (patricia briggs) was my favourite of the four and features characters from "Moon Called" and is a sort of intro to her Alpha & Omega series. I would recommend this book if you are a fan of Patricia Briggs Mercy Thompson series or have / or plan to read her alpha and omega series. Overall a good compilation of short stories 3.5/5

On the prowl was an interesting to read. It is a few chapters from different authors, it gives you a chance to experience different authors. The only problem I had with this book is that you read the few chapters that are in the book and want more. I had to buy each of these books.

This book has 4 different stories. The one from Patricia Briggs introduces us to Anna a young werewolf who dose not know what she is. Can't wait to read the next story about Anna, who and what is she.
