Reviews

"In the vast world of nonfiction writing, [Malcolm Gladwell] is as close to a singular talent as exists today...[Outliers] is a pleasure to read and leaves you mulling over its inventive theories for days afterward...Outliers represents a new kind of book for Gladwell...It is almost a manifesto." -- New York Times Book Review "...The explosively entertaining Outliers might be [Gladwell's] best and most useful work yet...there are both brilliant yarns and life lessons here: Outliers is riveting science, self-help, and entertainment, all in one book.-A." -- Entertainment Weekly

5 of 5 Stars! – Customer review on 05/02/2009

A fabulous read. A realistic insight into the attributes of success based on research and scientific knowledge rather than marketing assumptions or political drivers. Questions why communities accept explanations at face value without attmepting to understand them. Equal opportunity could be addressed practically adn aspiring leaders could take note, using Gladwell's identified ingredients

5 of 5 Stars! – Customer review on 03/08/2009

Another great book by M Gladwell! Some of the ideas in the book are perhaps not ground-breaking although his writing style and research brings everything together nicely. Everyone will get something from this book - The average reader will prob read this book and feel much better, while the vetran reader will be left asking more questions and wanting more answers. Gladwell uses real life traits and cultures to explain some of the world's most succeful (and unsucessful) stories; even though he accepts natural talent, he argues it doesn't start or end there.

The book is def worth a read, and if you like it, then i would recommend Blink and Tipping point as well.

Enjoy.
