I'm disappointed with this book.
I was quite excited, waiting for it to arrive, as I've seen Fassett's work in other areas with textiles, but this just didn't live up.
I find the language pretentious and not really applicable to quilting and I'm not overly impressed with the use of colour (which was one of the selling points, for me).
The only quilt I would think about making is the one on the cover.
In future, I'll try to borrow his books from the library to review before I buy.

I love this book, it is so inspiring for a novice quilter.
The instructions and colour use are wonderful. I have
marked so many pages for the photos make me want
to start another quilt, I have made two from this book
& working on a third. My girls have put in their orders.

Kaffe Fassett designs the most marvelous quilts. The photos in this book are so beautiful and inspiring. The instructions are clear and the projects are achieveable for the new quilter or thos ewith a lttle more experience. He also designs fabrics so you can use these to create his particular style. Highly recommended.

If I could use colour the way Kaffe does, I'd do nothing but make quilts every day. His vibrant style cheers and inspires and his designs are surprisingly easy to replicate. He gives personal comments and sets the scene for each quilt and this adds to the charm and interest. To my mind this book is good for beginners and experienced quilters.
