Lots of practical and helpful information, combined with many beautiful colour photographs of Mr Bangay's garden designs. If you love up-market, formal gardens, then this will please and inspire you. It is written for Australian conditions and aspiring or diy garden designers, but I expect the principles and information can be applied to gardens anywhere - especially climates similar to Australia (such as California). A cut above the plethora of Australian garden design/diy media that has been released recently, usually on the back of diy tv shows, which do not compare to this book. All up, great value and also looks great on a coffee table!
The quintessential Paul Bangay. Learn his style and practicalities and be your own landscape designer. This will inspire and motivate you and if nothing else, is a beautiful book. Lots of practical information for budding designers. Get this book today and transform your current sand plain or clay rock block into something to admire.
This is the garden design book in my collection that I reach for most often for inspiration and advice. It is very obvious that the book is written for the reader. A lot of effort has gone into organising the material. The break-out boxes with tips and explanations of the design task and the solution are great.
