PreS‘Some think Wegman's dogs dressed and photographed are ``adorable.'' Others feel the photos are static and the canines are being exploited. People of both mindsets will find much to support their views in this board book that displays Weimaraners posed to be counted and arranged to form numbers from 1 to 10. Sleek dogs are lined up on a platform, on a dock, in a studio. Two sit side-by-side at school desks. Precision and discipline are remarkable. Eight dogs stare at an empty lake as storm clouds gather. For ``9,'' one Weimaraner waits to be found in a line-up of stuffed animals. Sweetest of all is the row of 10 sleeping puppies. On the other hand, artificial poses are shown for numbers ``1,'' in which a dog seems to stand on top of a lake, and ``4,'' showing the animals in hooded bathrobes.
