Purple Ronnie provided two lucrative bestsellers last Valentine's day, with 2002's own Purple Ronnie's Little Book of Love Poems (no. 1 hardback non-fiction / no.6 in the Sunday Times list) and 1999's Purple Ronnie's Little Guide to Lovers (no.2 hardback non-fiction), this being his most reliable time of year. These mini books tend to backlist nicely - stick that in your Clinton Cards bag and post it.

Purple Ronnie is the creation of the writer and creative Giles Andeae, also a prolific author of children's books - although Ronnie is strictly adults-only! Purple Ronnie greetings cards are now published by Hallmark, and will see a major new push throughout 2004.
