Light hearted. A good read for relaxing. Enjoyed it like all her other Argeneau novels.

This is a good light-hearted read. It's not heavy into sex scenes (don't bother reading if you like erotica) and the family interaction is enjoyable. I'll be reading more in the series.

Lissiana is a vampire with an unfortunate phobia. She faints at the sight of blood. Her mother has the perfect solution: kidnap Dr Gregory Hewitt, a psychologist renowned for treating phobias. Greg, who is supposed to be taking his first vacation in years, finds himself tied to a bed instead, with birthday girl Lissiana standing over him, assuming he is her surprise birthday dinner. Both of them get a shock when she takes a little nibble and minds merge and hearts pound. When it is discovered, however, that Greg’s mind cannot be wiped of its memories and therefore he may be a danger to vampire society, the council is called in, and Lissi and her doctor run for their lives. Actually they run straight into a staking party, but it seemed like a good idea at the time. Mis-stakes apart, Greg has a big problem to sink his teeth into, pun intended. There’s only one way to stay with Lissi forever. Can he make that choice? And if so, can he get Lissiana to bite?
This is part of a series about the Argenau vampire family, including ‘Single White Vampire’ and ‘Tall, Dark and Hungry’. While this is more tautly crafted—despite the occasional editorial mistake—the others have more charm. Nevertheless ‘A Quick Bite’ is an easy and enjoyable read, especially if you’re into the sweet vamp romances.

This is the story of Lissianna Argeneau. The youngest sister in a family with 2 older brothers (previously written about in other books by Lynsay Sands) , she is the protected youngest in the family. Lissianna is happy in life except for an annoying little phobia- she faints at the site of blood. That wouldn't be much of a problem, except she happens to be a vampire! Join her family in an effort to find a cure for Lissiana, bending a few rules along the way and maybe even helping her to find true love along the way.
