As the pastor of an inner-city church in New York City, Timothy Keller has compiled a list of the most frequently voiced 'doubts' sceptics bring to his church, as well as the most important reasons for faith. In THE REASON FOR GOD, he addresses each doubt and explains each reason.Keller uses literature, philosophy, real-life conversations, and reasoning to explain how faith in a Christian God is a soundly rational belief, held by thoughtful people of intellectual integrity with a deep compassion for those who truly want to know the truth.

Excellent! I cannot recommend this book highly enough. Each chapter addresses a commonly posed argument against Christianity, arguments Keller has heard over the years at his New York based church and which do the rounds both in popular atheist circles and our culture in general. He discusses each argument clearly and in an engaging, intelligent manner that sharpens the Christians' own thinking as well as providing something substantial for the skeptic to reflect on. Great to give to your Christian and non Christian friends. It will encourage everyone to think a lot more deeply. And once you read one Keller book, you are quite likely to read some more!
