A good work of Catholic theology from a theologian who is well versed in biblical texts. Hahn addresses the main facets of the Catholic faith and proceeds to show that they are in fact entirely biblical. In this area he is outstanding.
However in a small section where the book addresses various ways to explain the faith to non-Christians and atheists he is less convincing. Hahn should limit his work to theology and not attempt to address scientific issues in areas he is not qualified to do so - Hahn attempts to deny evolution in favour of the disproved idea of Intelligent Design. As a scientist myself I found this to be discouraging, and in fact should not be used as a way to convince those outside the Christian faith as it will only show the believer to be ignorant of scientific facts. This is however only a single chapter, and the main purpose of the book in defending the faith biblically is not undermined by the error.
