The Guinness World Records books are always a good read. Nobody is ever really interested in the record for largest mammal or tallest building; what you want is freaks, and this book has them all, from most facial piercings to fattest man. This would be a pretty good gift for most people, and makes an entertaining alternative to tabloids for waiting rooms.
