This is a really delightful book, I love the fact that charm never dates and we can always benefit from a reminder of what really makes a woman beautiful. This book is interspersed with humour and wit yet always manages to get the same message across. It encourages a woman to make the most of who she is and how she is uniquely made - I thoroughly recommend it for a pleasant read!
I adored this book. As the previous reviewer noted, a lot of its appeal comes from it's age - it is rare for a book to do with society to remain so relevant. As it cleverly notes in the introduction, fashions change but charm never goes out of style. Thoroughly enjoyed and highly reccommended.
Written in 1938, this book piqued my interest because it has been around for so long! I really enjoyed it. Some of the tips were funny or silly, such as - "if a man is flirting with you, flirt politely back and throw a knowing glance to his wife, such as to say, "what can you do...men!".
However, there are some tips that are still relevant today - good manners never go out of style. Despite the title, there are some beauty tips also contained within.
