Yet another superb book in this ongoing series from N.T. Wright. This time he moves on to the resurrection of Jesus, and the whole question of life after death (and, as he stresses life after life after death). After a thorough examination of ancient beliefs about death and life after death in the ancient world (both Jewish and Gentile), Wright moves on to look at what the early church believed about Jesus and his resurrection and then, more crucially, why they believed what they did. Like the preceding two volumes, this third volume is utterly compelling, brilliantly researched and argued. A wonderful book.
