The book is absolutely stunning! We have spent hours poring over it gaining many great ideas. It contains a wealth of information, covering a huge variety of topics, visually great to look at and has inspired us to make the most of our back yard. A must buy for any fan of the tv series and at a great price too!

I love the River Cottage TV series. Hugh's easy going nature is transferred to the page - this book is a great Sunday afternoon read. The recipes are all there too!!

I am passionate about organic food and knowing where & what you are putting in your mouth had come from! As usual, Hugh's books are great, written with enough explanantion of the ingredients and how do pull off some fantastic dishes. Well worth it!

I love this book - but if you are a big Hugh fan, then you will automatically love it!! This is classic Hugh - lots of recipes for those working straight from the garden, farm, ocean or forest. Maybe a little too confrontational for those who don't like to know about how their meat is produced - but definitely gives food for thought on these issues, without being 'preachy'.
Beautiful photography and presentation throughout. Well worth the price.

As a novice to all things horticultural and agricultural, this book has been fantastic.
Covering a huge range of subjects it is written with humour and passion.
It is inspirational not only in the kitchen & garden but makes you consider your attitudes as a consumer.
