"Royal Road to Card Magic" was my second book on magic actually my second book on conjuring.
I have to say, it helped me alot. It shows technique and tricks for each chapter - the chapters all have clear headings so you know what you're gonna learn about. At the end of each technique explanation there are about 1-7 tricks, all with suggestions on patter and performance style.
One thing I am missing though is the fact that only once in the book the authoprs offer exercises and this is in the first chapter. It'd have been useful for other techniques as well.
