A grieving father receives a suspicious note, apparently from God, inviting him to meet in the Oregon wilderness where his daughter had been abducted and murdered. "The Shack" wrestles with the timeless question, "Where is God in a world so filled with unspeakable pain?"

Great book on forgiveness and the loving character of God. I have bought several copies of this book to give to people. It has helped a friend struggling in her faith with God's character.
An interesting and compelling story which captivates the readers attention from start to finish Even if you are not a religious person this story is undeniably a fantastic read. Uncovering the inner thoughts of the human mind and crossing lines writers have not dared cross in this way before. We closely follow one mans journey to a shack in the middle of nowhere, where he meets 'god', a black woman who tells him what really happened to his daughter who went missing years before. A heartfelt and sad story which sent my mind into a spin.
