Where there's smoke there's fire, and no one knows this better than New Jersey bounty hunter, Stephanie Plum. The bail bonds office has burned to the ground, and bodies are turning up in the empty construction lot. To make matters worse, Stephanie is working out of a motor home she shares with a dancing bear, and Joe Morelli's old world grandmother has declared a vendetta against her. And just when Stephanie decides it might be time to choose between the two men in her life, Morelli and Ranger, a third man from Stephanie's past moves back to Trenton...

Reviews
'Evanovich's series of New Jersey comedy thrillers are among the great joys of contemporary crime fiction...' -- GQ Magazine 'Packed with her familiar wicked ear for dialogue...Plum is not just a smart private eye but a heroine with a sense of humour' -- Daily Mail
In Evanovich's 17th installment in the Stephanie Plum series, everyone's favorite bumbling bounty hunter is still torn between the two men in her life-security expert Ranger and tough guy cop Joe Morelli-and still watching bodies pile up around her. With family members attempting to play matchmaker and a serial killer dumping bodies all over Plum's stomping grounds, little has changed in dark and seedy New Jersey. Lorelei King-a veteran Evanovich narrator-slips back into the series and voices Plum with the greatest of ease, clearly enjoying herself from beginning to end. Her narration is effortless yet highly nuanced, funny, and entertaining. King produces a range of unique voices for the book's many characters and offers up a winning performance that will delight Evanovich fans. A Bantam hardcover. (June) (c) Copyright PWxyz, LLC. Fantastic! Couldn't put it down, which isnt unusual when Stephanie Plum is in the story line.
Definitely recommend. Easy to read and puts you in a good mood everytime.
I don't understand how Janet Evanovich is coming up with these stories.
I knocked this one over in a few days (definitely well short of my overnight effort on one of her previous novels)
Stephanie is still relatable, Ranger and Morelli are still smoking hot.
Lula as always is hilarious but the stand out as always is Grandma Mauzur and her constantly inappropriate behaviour.
As expected, if you have read from the beginning some of the punch lines and twists are predictable, however she still got a few laughs out of me and Evanovich remains my favourite author
