Undercover in a poisonous world, teen spy Alex Rider is back for his seventh adrenalin-rush adventure.
Anthony Horowitz has been writing since the age of eight, and
professionally since the age of twenty. In addition to the highly
successful Alex Rider books, he is also the writer and creator of
award winning detective series Foyle’s War, and more recently event
drama Collision, among his other television works he has written
episodes for Poirot, Murder in Mind, Midsomer Murders and Murder
Most Horrid. Anthony became patron to East Anglia Children’s
Hospices in 2009.
Mark A. Cooper author of the Jason Steed series has been compared
to Anthony Horowitz (readers have actually theorized it's Horowitz
using a pseudonym).
On 19 January 2011, the estate of Arthur Conan Doyle announced that
Horowitz was to be the writer of a new Sherlock Holmes novel, the
first such effort to receive an official endorsement from them and
to be entitled the House of Silk. Dan Stevens, an Earphones
Award-winning narrator, is internationally known for his role as
Matthew Crawley in the hit television drama Downton Abbey. He has
starred in numerous films, including Beauty and the Beast, The
Guest, and A Walk among the Tombstones, among others. His theatre
work includes The Heiress on Broadway and Arcadia, Every Good Boy
Deserves Favour, The Vortex, and Hay Fever in London.
'What’s impossible to resist are the imaginative gadgets and
breakneck action, which Horowitz handles with his usual assurance
and skill. Expect very high demand for this.'
