Excellent book. I really enjoyed making some of the softies in there, including the renamed, Jack the elephant, Kong-su-bai the doll, Snowflake the monkey & a currently unnamed cat that was part of a birthday present for another little girl! Am now currently making another little sock monkey for a friend's son... Highly recommended book... Extremely easy to sew - make great pressies for little-ies!

The cover of this book convinced me to buy, who wouldn't want to make a gorgeous sock puppy with a patch? My sewing abilities have previously been limited to sewing some very dodgy buttons on, but the day I received this book I made a sock monkey and it was fairly simple!! The diagrams are simple to understand and my children loved the story but loved choosing which softie to make even more.
Now that I have discovered the joy of making something gorgeous with my own two hands I can't stop!

I have had this book for 2 weeks and easily created both a dog and a cat doll. They are gorgeous and make perfect presents for my niece, nephew, and me! The directions are so easy to follow and the results are amazing-especially for a newly developed crafty! Do purchase you will enjoy!

I saw this book on Martha Stewart and they demonstrated how to make the dog out of gloves. I was so inspired! I went along my merry way and just couldn't stop thinking about how clever and simple this craft is. In the end, I just had to look up the book on fishpond and order it. I've only had the book for one week and already I've made my girls the elephant out of a pair of tights and a panda out of gloves. Each item only took a few hours to make...must make more.....make great presents. Just too cute!

This is a really cute book with lots of ideas on animals to make from socks and/or gloves. All of the patterns are easy to follow and I'm sure that even a novice could successfully make some (or all) of the projects in this book.
