About the Author

Ann Ulrich Miller lived in Aspen and the Roaring Fork Valley of western Colorado in the late 1970s and early '80s. Having been born and reared in the Midwest, the move to the Rocky Mountains had a significant impact on her life. It was at that time that the seeds of spiritual awakening began to sprout. Aspen and its beauty and diversity of thought encouraged her to explore many different belief systems. She worked for the Aspen Times and the Snowmass Village Sun, and in 1984 left with her Forest Service husband and their two young sons to live in Corvallis, Oregon for ten months. When they returned to Colorado in June 1985, they resided in Delta, and their third son was born in November of that year. From her earliest years music was important in her life. She started piano lessons at the age of 4 and is grateful to her parents for encouraging her musical studies all the way through high school, which included French horn in band and orchestra. Writing and publishing have dominated her career, however, and her interest in spirituality led to her metaphysical magazine, The Star Beacon, in print since 1987. Under the name Ann Carol Ulrich she has published The Space Trilogy (Intimate Abduction, Return To Terra and The Light Being) and her series of young adult novels in the Annette Vetter Adventures, set in the late 1960s. Currently living in Pagosa Springs, Colorado, she continues to write romantic suspense under the name Ann Ulrich Miller.
