This can be a stand alone book or read as part of the Spooks chronicles, either way, you will not be able to put this book down. I am a fan of Joseph Delaney as he writes with the reader in mind and tackles the subjects of loneliness, friendship, death and the afterlife with fresh eyes made me think what I would have done if I was born into Grimalkins shoes. During the story you find out why Grimalkin betrayed her witch clan to help Thomas Ward and the Old Spook Gregory, and why she hates the Fiend, and how she became who she is today.
So easy to read, so hard to put down!
