This appears to be the standard text for anyone planning a straw bale construction of any kind. It's extremely comprehensive and easy to follow. My only suggestion is to be sure to supplement it with one of the Australian books which address certain issues relating to local conditions and building codes. And find out about your local council's attitude to alternative building methods - some are very flexible as long as you can show there are strong precedents for what you want to do. Others are very wary of anything like this. Do your research before you start thinking about plans. But when you do get to the planning stage, this book will answer most of your questions and most likely suggest things you never even thought of.
