I bought three books about gifted children and this was my least favourite when compared to the others. It's still good... but I would recommend "You know your child is gifted when..." ahead of it. This book says the same things, but in a much wordier and not-as-user-friendly format.
This is a easily read reference book for parents of gifted children. It provides suggestions and examples on how to make your life and your child/ren's life easier and more "normal".
It covers the discovery that your child is gifted, what it means to your child, you, their school, their social life. It identifies that giftedness can't be clumped into one, a child's personality still shines through, something which is often forgotten after being labelled.
Topies like sensitivity, being a smart alec, depression, etc are explored. A list of resources for parents is very handy.
