This is the first book that I have read that incorporates both recipes and the author's thoughts about living in a new city and it is an extremely refreshing format which I enjoy very much. Not only can we learn many French recipes, but he also added many accurate observations and interesting facts about the French. It adds a touch of authenticity to his work and it also helps that he is very humorous at times and deadpan in others. It's an extremely fun read during a lazy Sunday afternoon.

An amazing book! David lebovitz is a great chef and all his recipes are delicious! There are so many french recipes in this book, and even though there not even close to being healthy there the best tasting foods u can make. For anyone who loves to cook or loves to eat french desserts, youll love this book!
