When my homeschooled daughter asked to spend an entire term immersed in Ancient Egypt I had to build up a good home library of books that covered that era. They needed to be a mix of fiction and non-fiction, boring (fact filled)and exciting, colourful and needing concentration. I ended up with a great assortment of titles and this turned out to be one of her absolute favourites! In fact, after she'd finished with it I was going to pass it on to another and she forbade me, clutching it to her chest and declaring it too good to give away!
