I just love this deck. I would especially recommend it to other beginners like myself as it is a much nicer deck to learn with than the Rider-Waite ( although I do believe that every tarot enthusiast should own one of these too ). It has been kept fairly traditional, in that much of the naming has not changed, but the pictures have been updated, and unlike many 'Thoth' style decks which just have numbered pip cards, even the minors have great, self explanantory scenes on them. Just what a beginner needs! Be aware though that there is some full frontal nudity on some of the cards, which might not be everyones cup of tea, especially when reading for others.
