About the Author
Dr Irvin D Yalom is the author of Love's Executioner, Every Day Gets a Little Closer, and several textbooks on psychotherapy, as well as the novels When Nietzsche Wept and Lying on the Couch. He is Professor of Psychiatry at Stanford University and lives and practices in California.

This book is comprehensive in its coverage of varying kinds of group formats. I have set it as a text for undergraduate and postgraduate students. I do recommend its use in conjunction with another groups text that has a wider 'culturally aware' focus.
