Highlighted by some of the finest photography in the world, this book offers a glimpse of each country's perks and quirks: when to go, what to see, how to eat it up and drink it in, and ways to immerse yourself in the life and the land. What results is a grand snapshot of our diverse and kaleidoscopic world rather than an encyclopedic reference.

The Travel book is awesome (very heavy) the photographs are beautiful I especially enjoyed the first photo of the young girl. For each country lonely planet has given an overview, what to do and see, how to experience the country a little bit better and also some interesting facts. I would recomend this book to anyone who just wanted an overview of all the countries to help them plan a overseas trip or anyone just interested in 'knowing'.
In a few weeks time I depart for my Big OE. In preparation for my travels I bought this book on recommendation. I have to tell you this is a great book for anyone planning to travel to get ideas where to go. This has to be the best travel guide I have ever bought and I have bought a lot of them over the past few years. I am travelling through the Americas and this book tells me what to expect and how to prepare myself. Plus all the information on attractions, culture and food is awsome. This is a great book and really worth buying.
