– Customer review on 11/03/2008 Guide Books don't get much better than this! Hilary Bradt has visited Madagascar regularly over the past 30 years. Her Madagascar Guide has been updated frequently and the 2007 edition does not disappoint. As well as writing about her own vast experience of the country, Hilary Bradt draws on information from a wide range of experts, such as zoologists, botanists and others to add colour and depth to the book. The personal experiences (good and not so good) of many travellers are also included.
The book gives an overview of the culture and customs, history, fauna and flora of this unique country in an informative and highly readable way as well as including the basic information (places to stay, places to eat and travel within the country etc.)required of a guide book.
