We used this on our trip to Thailand which took in Bangkok and Phuket. I don't think you can go past Lonely Planet guides to well..anywhere. This had it all for us - a few useful phrases, local customs,maps, monetary system, shopping guide, diving guide, travellers warnings, touristy places and places for the very adventurous back to the luxe choices for the more discerning. Don't get on a plane without this!
