A trek is a walk that takes people away from civilization into a place they could not reach if not on foot, and which requires them to rely on other skills than the mere perambulatory. General Editor and main contributor Steve Razzetti has been travelling in Nepal - exploring and leading commercial expeditions - for most of the past 20 years, as well as trekking in other parts of the world. He is a member of the Alpine Club, and has recently written Trekking and Climbing in Nepal for New Holland.
