This is such a great book. I found this to be one of the best guides out there, but let me qualify this statement: If you are after a book which gives you information on what to do and see without heaps of ponsy commentary from some random traveller who may have different preferences to you, a book which is pocket sized with loads of pictures, then this is the book for you. I have bought Lonely Planet's larger books before, but to be honest, I grew tired of the endless drivel of the author - bias opinions and notable omissions. This guide is a no nonsense handy reference and does contain a heck of a lot of good information (so yes, it is better than picking up the free guide at the airport). By the time I returned, this was well thumbed, and it certainly helped me plan a great trip.
