To tell ya the truth I really think the Author of this book didnt read the Twilight Saga at all! In the frist paragraph of the frist chapter the author is talking about how Bella is begging Edward to change her and the Author writes "for that to happen requires that Edward mix his blood with hers" Hum Hello never once did it say in Twilight that their blood had to mix to change! The change comes from the venom on their teeth! Duh and then the Author says "I'm assuming you've read all three Stephenie Meyer"s terrific books in the Twilight saga:" and the Author list them in this exact order!! "Twilight, Eclipse, and New Moon!" Are you kidding, Lets see Im pretty sure it goes Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse!! Then the Author starts talking about why dont we ever see Edward sleeping in a coffin! Hum well if you read the book you would know he doesnt sleep! Grrr. All im saying if you are going to write about a Great book you didnt write or from what it looks like didnt read than hands off!! Im sure the true Twilight Fans will not like this book at all!!!!!
Bad Bad Bad, this book didnt even begin to sound like it had any idea what the books are about. Would probably fly with the younger readers but adult readers beware.
Wait for the authorised version.
obviously this book contains false info for twilight fans and therefore is only a shallow author trying to make a buck of someone else's ideas and shaping to how they think it should be.
This book is completely a waste of time and money!
The author obviously didn't pay attention when reading the the twilight saga series, if she read them at all!!!
I may be only 13 but I am not as stupid as the author of this book!
On page 240, it says Edward must inject his "venom blood" into Bella in order to save her! What planet does Lois H. Gresh live on??? To anyone who had actually read the books it would be childishly obvious that it is simply venom the Edward injects into Bella!
Another mistake! The book says that Bella turns eighteen a few days before marrying Edward, when actually she turned eighteen long before, in New Moon, before Edward leaves her! If I am not mistaken, the reason Edward left Bella was because he wanted to give Bella a chance at a normal life without him, and a reminder of how dangerous her being with him was on her eighteenth birthday when Jasper attacked her when she got a paper cut! In fact, She turns nineteen a little while after being changed into a vampire and giving birth to Renesmee!
There are way too many mistakes to list, so I'll stop here and go on to what this book is actually about.
If you like to learn about Nosferatu and Dracula and Van Helsing and other tacky vampires you should definitely buy this book!!!
I almost fell asleep after reading the first five pages!
This book is fulled to the brim with tacky quizzes.
If you also like to learn completely and utterly false information about the best love story of all time you will definitely love this book. An example, page 175, it says that Edward can project his thoughts into Bella's mind and that he often does so to keep her out of danger!!!
UTTER BULL!!!
I would definitely not recommend this book to any self-respecting twilighter.
i skipped a lot of pages in the book, it does NO justice to the Twilight saga!
seriously, if i hadn't use pen to tick early on the quizzes in the book, i'd return the book ASAP. was a waste of my money. i definitely would not put this book beside any of my Twilight books. sorry Lois, but no, this book is far from being a favourite of mine.
My teenage neice is really into the Twilight series. I have never read them but when I sent her this book she said that all of her friends' were really jealous. She was just thrilled to have to have it and now she and her friends' spend their time pooring over it. It made me feel good to know that this was a homerun gift.
My daughter's 14 years old, and I saw this book at the store and
bought it for her as a Christmas present. I couldn't have chosen a
better gift. My daughter - and all of her friends, by the way -
absolutely loved this book. They read it over and over again for
days, and they're still reading it and sharing it with more of their
friends.
This is a great book and my daughter recommends it highly to ALL TWILIGHT FANS.
I even took my daughter and her friends to see the Twilight movie
over the holidays, and they'd all seen the movie multiple times
already. But after reading The Twilight Companion by Lois Gresh,
they all wanted to see the movie AGAIN. That's how much they loved
this book. They are now big big big fans of Lois Gresh and can't
wait for her to write more books.
From my daughter to you, Lois Gresh, if you're out there somewhere
reading this - write more books about Twilight! We love you!
I saw the Twilight movie with my friends over the holidays. We all love Stephenie Meyer. We all love Stephenie Meyer's books. And we all like to have fun - like who doesn't? I know a lot of kids in my school, and everyone knows about Twilight. A lot of kids got this book by Lois Gresh for Christmas. Like six of my friends got this book okay? I went to the bookstore, and I saw The Twilight Companion on a big display with Stephenie Meyer's books. So I actually looked through The Twilight Companion before I bought it with my own Christmas money that my favorite aunt (who is really cool) gave to me. When I was looking at The Twilight Companion, there were like five or six other kids looking at copies at the same time. WE ALL BOUGHT THIS BOOK. AND LIKE I SAID, WE ALL LOOKED AT IT - IN THE BOOKSTORE - BEFORE WE BOUGHT IT.
My fav chapter is the one about Bella's Awakening: What Really Happens When You Turn into a Vampire. In this chapter, Lois has a big section on Bella and Accidents, which is fun to read. There are actually people who are accident prone, like Bella. I think I am like this, too. But mostly, in this chapter, Lois talks about what it's like if you become an immortal vampire. Like, you have to live on blood forever, but you won't have to worry about dieting anymore. (funny) "If you're a girl, expect to be so gorgeous that a mere sideways glance from you will turn any man of any age into a slobbering, doting slave to your every desire." (yes!) "
"Lois Gresh rocks. You can tell she loves vampires and she loves Twilight. You can tell she's a huge fan of Stephenie Meyer's. Her book draws you into the world of Twilight - fan to fan - and makes you love everything Twilight even more."
