Enid Blyton has been criticized for writing racist right wing facist texts but I assure you reading Enid Blyton certainly doesn't turn you into a nazi nor does it affect your political leanings. The St Clare series is about the twins Isabelle and Pat as they try hard to be expelled so that they can go to a snootier posher school. It's funny. It's about boarding school and tales about boarding schools are always fun!
this is the book that starts this whole brilliant series off! it tells of the o brien twins, pat and isabel, who are forced to go to st clares to make them a bit more down to earth. they vowel to hate everythng about it, but find that that is actulay a bit harder to do, as the school is actually the best thing to hapen to them. great reading!
