An inspiring book that takes you from dyeing your wool to spinning it into yarn to the results when it is knitted into some fabulous socks! explained well enough for the beginner, but with plenty of advice for those experienced with spinning wool. some stunning socks and patterns for them.
I received this book for Christmas last year and I love it.It has lots of tips on different dye methods and how to chose colourways for beautiful sliver to spin with.It has all the sock knitting and designing that I have ever used, lots of different heels and toes etc.This book will hook you on knitting socks.
Found heaps of inspiration and really good instructions for dying the yarn through to knitting the socks. One of the most useful books I have on dying and the sock instructions are so clearly set out
I wasn't as happy with this book as I expected to be. Being new to sock making and dying, I was hoping for more direction and instruction. Too much knowledge is assumed for me to find this book useful at the moment, but it is a lovely book to look at and I'm sure will come in handy in the future when I become more confident.
