About the Author

Linda Briskin is an activist in OPSEU and a community college teacher in Toronto. She co-authored The Day the Fairies Went on Strike, a non-sexist fairy tale for children, and co-produced Rising Strong: Women in the 80's, an hour-long video documentary on the women's movement in Ontario. Lynda Yanz has been involved in the women's movement for the past thirteen years. She works with the Participatory Research Group and International Council for Adult Education in Toronto, and is active in the International Women's Day Committee.
