Want to expand your Wii Fit experience? After Wii Fit introduced millions of brand new players to Nintendo's console with 2008s Wii Balance Board, Wii Fit Plus adds to the interactive workout by allowing users to set their own fitness regime.
New exercises accompany this scheduling feature, which can set customised routines at various times or provide 20, 30 or 40-minute workouts. The game works around your daily lifestyle so you can start to burn calories however busy you are. Specialised regimes are available that can target specific areas of fitness, or can be automatically created to better suit whatever target you have set for yourself.
Along with the original Wii Fit activities such as skiing and jogging, Wii Fit Plus provides 15 original balance games and six strength and yoga training exercises. With games such as Skateboarding and Rhythm Kung Fu, getting into shape has never been so interesting and fun.
As you progress, an estimate of burned calories will appear and if you fancy keeping your pets trim too, there's even an option to weigh a cat or dog. Time will fly by as you exercise alone, or train with your family and friends.
Wii Fit Plus comes packaged with the Wii Balance Board, but if you already own the accessory, a standalone disc version will be available for purchase too.

I love Wii Fit Plus! It has all the original Wii Fit stuff, plus a bunch of extra games and features. The new games were the best! There were some really original ideas in there, such as a flying game and an obstacle course game. Some of the other games were less exciting, and the exercise benefits of others are debatable, but it's still really entertaining. It's good to play by yourself or with other people taking turns and competing. Highly recommended - fans of Wii Fit will love it, and those who haven't bought Wii Fit yet and wanted to try will be better off getting this version. It's quite cheap too for a game (though you will need the balance board).
Finally they've fixed the one thing wrong with the last version, you can now make whole fitness regimes, lining up the activities rather than having to go out to a menu screen and choose a new activity. The activities added since the original wii fit like skateboarding and kung fu rhythm look like fun. I prefer the balance games, the yoga is tricky.
Like Wii Fit before it, this looks to be another innovative fitness product rather than simply a game. I'm looking forward to trying out the new mini games on offer in this and it will be good to be able to stack up activities to go back to back rather than having to flick through the menu screen each time.
