Sullivan Quinn didn't travel 3,000 miles from his native Ireland and his wolf pack just to chase rabidly after the most delectable quarry he's ever seen. Quinn is in America on a mission - to warn his Other brethren of a shadowy group willing to use murder and mayhem to bring them down. But one whiff of this Foxwoman's delicious honeysuckle fragrance and he knows that she is more than a colleague or a conquest...she is his mate. Anthropologist Cassidy Poe is a world-renowned authority on social interaction, but the overpowering desire she feels around Quinn defies every ounce of her expertise. Working by his side to uncover The Others' enemies poses risks she never expected - to her own safety, to those she loves, and to her heart, as every encounter with Quinn proves more blissfully erotic than the last...Now, with no one to trust but each other, Quinn and Cassidy face a foe that's edging closer every day, threatening to destroy the life they've always known, and the passion they've just discovered...

Christine Warren is a delight, and ‘Wolf at the Door’ is no exception. Sullivan Quinn is an Irish werewolf who has come to New York to speak to the Council about Unveiling the presence of the Other worlds to humans. Cassidy Poe is an anthropologist, and a Foxwoman, a rare magical breed of shapeshifter. Cassidy is violently opposed to Unveiling, but also violently attracted to Quinn despite their first meeting [I did find her sudden volte-face a bit disconcerting and too surrendery for my nature, but what the heck, it gave Warren a chance to wield her sensual pen and she does that very well.] Quinn realises, to his shock, that Cass is his mate, a bit of a problem for a werewolf who had only ever considered another Lupine as a possible mate, but he rolls with the punches, and there are a lot of them when other and Other forces try to both force and stop the potential Unveiling. Once again Warren has supplied a good book. This is the prequel to ‘She’s No Faerie Princess’, also a great book even if it loses its way a little in the middle.
The fey world is getting ready to tell the world all about themselves. But the timing wasn't theirs. one of theirpeople have been kidnapped by a fanatic group who will expose them even if they aren't ready. sent over to america to follow a lead he finds more than he bargains for. a mate. fast paced and interesting with twists at the end this is a pretty good book. i've read better when it comes to modern day fey but this is still a fun read.
