An interesting collection for anyone interested in words, either young or old. It does a great job in explaining concepts to do with words simply and with elan! Everything from malapropisms to shorthand are explored as are the origins of the alphabet and different forms the various alphabets have taken over the centuries. A great introduction for kids or a reference book for adults.
