This book was bought as a gift for my husband, and it has become almost a bible, with hubby freely quoting from the scripture according to Jeremy Clarkson. The reader will however need to be aware of political and public goings on in Great Britian over the past 5 years to get many of the jokes and insights of Mr Clarkson. However if you are a man, a watcher of Top Gear or like big noisy machines that go fast, then you would enjoy this book. It's not for the SNAG in your life.

Collection of Clarkson's weekly newspaper column from 2001 - 2003, recording his typical warped view of the current events of the time. You'd probably get more out of it if you lived in the UK during this period. Worth reading just for the one column titled "A Murderous Fox Has Made Me Shoot David Beckham".

A good read with many laughs. It has some interesting moments, which you should not take seriously. A quick easy read.

The World According to Clarkson is a friendly and hilarious reminder that really none of us are alone in our blundering attempts to live a successful life. No one is safe and nothing is sacred from Jeremy Clarkson's witty finger pointing. If you take yourself too seriously don't read this book as SOMETHING is bound to hit too close to home. Otherwise prepare to have your view of the world lightened up a bit!

Very witty book like all other reviews on this book seem to suggest. 4 out of 5, why i'm not really sure, 'cause it wasn't all that brilliant but it's more like a concept book and more original than anything else and it's increasingly harder for authors to come out with new material that can grab the reader. SO in comparison this is a pretty good book for reading

A collection of articles that Clarkson wrote for his column in an English newspaper... he's very witty writer, and a very intelligent man... some of his writing is hilarious, although a lot of his humour depends on an understanding of British current events and personalities, so it was lost on me... not a lot her on cars, but the man's insights on everything from Mandela to the jet engine, from fox hunting to holidays... an enjoyable read...
